Update on CTC’s COVID-19 Food Relief Effort in the Batticaloa District of Sri Lanka

April 29, 2020.

On Wednesday April 29th, a total 150 families from Thannnamunai in the Eravur Pattu (Chenkalady) DS Division of Batticaloa District received the food relief packages from Tamil Canadians. This effort was co-sponsored by Printfast (Canada) and the Canadian Tamil Congress.

A total of 450 most vulnerable families in the Batticaloa district have received CTCs’ COVID-19 food relief through the NEED centre with the help of local leaders and volunteers up to now. More food relief in the Batticaloa district has been scheduled for the coming days.
