Update on CTC’s COVID-19 Food Relief Effort in the Batticaloa Districts of Sri Lanka

On Tuesday April 21st, a total 28 families from Karadiyanaru GN Division in the Chenkaladi DS Division of Batticaloa District received the food relief packages from Tamil Canadians.
At the request of Dean of Business Studies at University of Jaffna’s Vavuniya campus, families of 6 students who live in Batticaloa district and are struggling with the basic food needs due to the current situation were also provided with food relief packages.
A total of 250 most vulnerable families in the Batticaloa district have received CTCs’ COVID-19 food relief through the NEED centre with the help of local leaders and volunteers up to now.
