Mullaitivu District Open Level Badminton Tournament

The Mullaitivu District Open Level Badminton Tournament, held on June 16th, 2024, at the Mullaitivu District Badminton Stadium, was a remarkable success. Sponsored by the Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC), the event brought together young athletes from across the district, showcasing exceptional talent and sportsmanship.

During a recent visit to Sri Lanka, CTC representatives were requested to support sports initiatives to provide positive distractions for youth and steer them away from harmful activities. Responding to this call, the CTC sponsored the inaugural year tournament as the first step in our commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and youth development in war effected areas.

The tournament featured various categories, with enthusiastic participation and an electrifying atmosphere created by spectators and supporters. The CTC’s sponsorship underscores our dedication to fostering youth engagement in sports and contributing to the community’s well-being.

முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்ட திறந்தமட்ட பூப்பந்தாட்டப் போட்டி

முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்ட பூப்பந்து விளையாட்டரங்கில் ஜூன் 16, 2024 அன்று நடைபெற்ற முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்ட திறந்த நிலை பூப்பந்துப் போட்டியானது குறிப்பிடத்தக்க வரவேற்பைப் பெற்றுள்ளது. கனடியத் தமிழர் பேரவையின் (CTC) அனுசரணையுடன் நடைபெற்ற இந்நிகழ்வில், மாவட்டம் முழுவதிலும் உள்ள இளம் விளையாட்டு வீரர்கள் ஒன்றிணைந்து, சிறப்பான திறமை மற்றும் விளையாட்டுத்திறனை வெளிப்படுத்தினர்.

அண்மையில் இலங்கைக்கு விஜயம் செய்த போது, இளைஞர்களுக்கு நேர்மறையான கவனச்சிதறல்களை வழங்குவதற்கும், தீங்கு விளைவிக்கும் நடவடிக்கைகளில் இருந்து அவர்களை விலக்குவதற்குமான விளையாட்டு முயற்சிகளுக்கு ஆதரவளிக்குமாறு CTC பிரதிநிதிகளிடம் கோரப்பட்டது. இந்த அழைப்பிற்கு பதிலளித்த CTC, போரால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதிகளில் ஆரோக்கியமான வாழ்க்கை முறை மற்றும் இளைஞர்களின் வளர்ச்சியை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான எங்கள் உறுதிப்பாட்டின் முதல் படியாக ஆரம்ப ஆண்டு போட்டிக்கு நிதியுதவி வழங்கியிருந்தது.

ஆர்வமுள்ள பங்கேற்பாளர்களாலும் பார்வையாளர்களால் இந்தப்போட்டி மிகவும் சிறப்பான முறையில் நடைபெற்றிருந்தது. CTC இன் இந்த பங்களிப்பானது விளையாட்டுகளில் இளைஞர்களின் ஈடுபாட்டை வளர்ப்பதற்கும் சமூகத்தின் நல்வாழ்வுக்கு பங்களிப்பதற்கும் எங்கள் அர்ப்பணிப்பை அடிக்கோடிட்டுக் காட்டுகிறது.
