Canadian Tamil Congress Signs MOU with Northern Chamber of Industries in Sri Lanka to Promote Local Products

The Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) is thrilled to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Northern Chamber of Industries in Sri Lanka. This strategic partnership aims to promote local products from Sri Lanka, particularly from the northern and eastern regions affected by the war, and introduce them to the Canadian market.

The foundation for this initiative was laid earlier this year when representatives from the CTC visited Sri Lanka. During this visit, they met with representatives of the Northern Chamber of Industries to discuss the potential partnership aimed at supporting local producers. The discussions were fruitful, leading to the establishment of this important collaboration.

Under this MOU, the CTC will actively promote these local products in Canada through its various events, including the largest annual street festival, Tamil Fest. The CTC will leverage its platforms, resources, and extensive outreach capabilities to highlight and market these products to both the Tamil community and the broader public in Canada.

The CTC believes that this initiative will not only create a wide market for local products from northern Sri Lanka but also contribute to the sustainable development of these war-affected areas. By introducing these products to the global market, the CTC aims to foster economic growth and stability in the region, providing a much-needed boost to local industries and communities.

கனேடிய தமிழர் பேரவை (CTC) உள்ளூர் தயாரிப்புகளை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக இலங்கையில் வடக்கு தொழில்துறை சம்மேளனத்துடன் (NCI) புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் ஒன்றில் கையெழுத்திட்டுள்ளது.

கனேடிய தமிழர் பேரவை (CTC) வடக்கு கைத்தொழில் சம்மேளனத்துடன் புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் (MOU) ஒன்றை கைச்சாத்திட்டுள்ளதை அறிவிப்பதில் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறது. இந்த மூலோபாய கூட்டாண்மையானது இலங்கையில் இருந்து, குறிப்பாக போரினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட வடக்கு மற்றும் கிழக்கு பிராந்தியங்களில் இருந்து உள்ளூர் தயாரிப்புகளை ஊக்குவித்து, கனேடிய சந்தைக்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.

இந்த ஆண்டு தொடக்கத்தில் CTC இன் பிரதிநிதிகள் இலங்கைக்கு விஜயம் செய்த போது இந்த முயற்சிக்கான அடித்தளம் போடப்பட்டது. இந்த விஜயத்தின் போது, உள்ளூர் உற்பத்தியாளர்களை ஆதரிப்பதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்ட சாத்தியமான கூட்டாண்மை பற்றி தெரிந்துகொள்ள வடக்கு தொழில்துறையின் பிரதிநிதிகளை நாங்கள் சந்தித்திருந்தோம். அதன் அடுத்தகட்டமாகவே இந்த உடன்படிக்கை கைச்சாத்திடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்த புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தத்தின் கீழ், CTC உள்ளூர் தயாரிப்புகளை கனடாவில் அதன் பல்வேறு நிகழ்வுகள் மூலம் ஊக்குவிக்க முன்வந்துள்ளது. இதில் மிகப்பெரிய வருடாந்திர தெரு திருவிழாவான தமிழர் தெருவிழாவும் அடங்கும். தமிழ் சமூகம் மற்றும் கனடாவில் உள்ள பரந்த பொதுமக்களுக்கு எம் தாயக தயாரிப்புகளை முன்னிலைப்படுத்தவும் சந்தைப்படுத்தவும் CTC அதன் தளங்களையும் வளங்களையும் முழுமையாக பயன்படுத்தவுள்ளது.

இம்முயற்சியானது தாயக தயாரிப்புகளுக்கு பரந்த சந்தையை உருவாக்குவது மட்டுமன்றி போரினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட இந்தப் பிரதேசங்களின் நிலையான அபிவிருத்திக்கும் பங்களிக்கும் என CTC நம்புகிறது. இந்த தயாரிப்புகளை உலக சந்தையில் அறிமுகப்படுத்துவதன் மூலம், வடக்கில் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் ஸ்திரத்தன்மையை வளர்ப்பதை CTC நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இது உள்ளூர் தொழில்கள் மற்றும் சமூகங்களுக்கு மிகவும் தேவையான ஊக்கத்தை அளிக்கும்.

இந்த முயற்சியை நேரடியாக அனுபவிப்பதற்கும் ஆதரவளிப்பதற்கும், ஆகஸ்ட் 24 மற்றும் 25 ஆம் திகதிகளில் மார்க்கம் வீதியில் இடம்பெறவுள்ள தமிழர் தெருவிழாவுக்கு வருகை தருமாறு அன்போடு அனைவரையும் அழைக்கின்றோம். தாயகத்தில் இருந்து நம்மூர் தயாரிப்புக்களைப் பற்றி மேலும் அறிந்து கொள்ளவும், போரினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதிகளின் பொருளாதார மறுமலர்ச்சிக்கு ஆதரவளிக்கவும் இது ஒரு தனித்துவமான வாய்ப்பாகும்.
