In the heart of war effected Northern and Eastern Provinces of Sri Lanka, a vision emerged with
the potential to weave change. The Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) in partnership with the
North and East Economic Development (NEED) Centre, launched 'Made in Mullaitivu,' a
testament to resilience, empowerment, and cultural preservation through the handloom saree
industry.

Since our journey began in 2020, we've been dedicated to showcasing the exquisite
craftsmanship of our women artisans, making strides in sustainable fashion and women's
empowerment. Our vibrant showcase at the CTC's Thai Pongal dinner in January 2020 marked
the beginning of a movement, celebrating traditional fashion while promoting economic
independence.

Embarking on the Next Chapter: We are thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of our very
own Made in Mullaitivu showroom in the heart of Mullaitivu Town. This isn't just a store; it's a
beacon of hope, a door to endless possibilities, and a bridge between tradition and modernity.
Join us as we take this significant leap towards creating an economically strong community,
supporting local products on the international stage, and weaving a future where tradition and
innovation coexist beautifully.

கனவில் இருந்து நிஜம் வரை: மேட் இன் முல்லைத்தீவு

போரால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட இலங்கையின் வடக்கு மற்றும் கிழக்கு மாகாணங்களில்
மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்தவும் பொருளாதாரத்தை திடப்படுத்தவும் ஒரு பயணம்
ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. கனேடியத் தமிழர் பேரவை, வடக்கு கிழக்கு பொருளாதார
அபிவிருத்தி மையத்துடன் (நீட் மையத்துடன்) இணைந்து, கைத்தறி புடவைத் தொழில்
மூலம் வலுவூட்டல் மற்றும் கலாச்சாரப் பாதுகாப்பு ஆகியவற்றின் சான்றாக, Made in
Mullaitivu முல்லைத்தீவில் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டது) என்ற திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது.
இந்த பயணம் 2020 இல் தொடங்கியதில் இருந்து, பெண் கைவினைஞர்களின்
நேர்த்தியான கைவினைத்திறனை வெளிப்படுத்தவும், நிலையான பாணியில் முன்னேற்றம்
மற்றும் பெண்கள் அதிகாரமளித்தல் ஆகியவற்றில் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயற்படவும் இந்த
திட்டம் பயன்பட்டுவருகின்றது. ஜனவரி 2020 இல் CTC இன் தைப் பொங்கல் விழாவில்
இந்த திட்டம் சார்ந்த சந்தைப்படுத்தல்கள் தொடக்கிவைக்கப்பட்டு வடக்கு கிழக்கு
பிராந்தியங்களில் நெசவுசெய்யப்படும் புடவைகளை சர்வதேச சந்தையில்
அறிமுகப்படுத்தும் வேலைத்திட்டங்கள் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றது.

இதன் அடுத்த கட்டமாக முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்டத்தின் மையப்பகுதியில் எங்களின் சொந்த
காட்சியறையை விரைவில் திறப்பது குறித்து அறிவிப்பதில் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறோம். இது
வெறும் தொழிற்த்தொகுதி அல்ல; இது நம்பிக்கையின் கலங்கரை விளக்கமாகவும்,
முடிவற்ற சாத்தியங்களுக்கான கதவுகளாகவும், பாரம்பரியத்திற்கும் நவீனத்துவத்திற்கும்
இடையிலான பாலமாகவும் அமையும்.

பொருளாதார ரீதியாக வலுவான சமூகத்தை உருவாக்குவதற்கும், சர்வதேச அரங்கில்
உள்ளூர் தயாரிப்புகளை ஆதரிப்பதற்கும், பாரம்பரியமும் புதுமையும் அழகாக
இணைந்திருக்கும் எதிர்காலத்தை உருவாக்குவதற்கும் இந்த குறிப்பிடத்தக்க முயட்சியில்
எங்களுடன் இணைந்துகொள்ள அனைவரையும் அழைக்கின்றோம்.

அதிகாரம், பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் ஊக்கமளிக்கும் எங்கள் பணியில் இது ஒரு மைல்கல்.
