Tamil Canadians Horrified and Saddened by the Bomb Attacks in Sri Lanka

April 21, 2019 – The Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) vehemently condemns these cowardly attacks targeting churches and hotels in several cities of Sri Lanka.

“We extend our deepest condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones and condemn religious intolerance of any kind.” said Sivan Ilangko, President of CTC.

CTC calls on the Sri Lankan government to bring the perpetrators of these attacks  to justice in accordance with the rule of law.  We are also calling on the Canadian government to urge Sri Lankan authorities to firmly ensure the safety and security of all its people.

CTC will be hosting a vigil for the victims of these attacks. Details about the vigil will be released shortly.
